The dome in the photo seems to soar into the clear sky, is the third highest in Rome. Unfortunately, the church of S. CARLO in Catinari, located in an area between the Tiber and Corso Vittorio Emanuele (or, between Campo de 'Fiori and Largo Argentina) is not known as it deserves. Among the first churches erected in honor of St. Charles Borromeo, after the sanctification is un "palinsesto " dell'arte barocca , specialmente della pittura . Emergono tra gli altri artisti , con le loro opere - dipinti e affreschi - il DOMENICHINO , il LANFRANCO , PIETRO da CORTONA , il SACCHI e GUIDO RENI con un affresco nel coro dietro la chiesa . Il nome deriva oltre che dal santo , dalle botteghe di fabbricanti di catini che fiancheggiavano la facciata dell'edificio .
